The 13th Imagine Science Film Festival runs for eight days virtually on our partnering sister platform Labocine where we will have premieres, international panels and workshops, a virtual science market day, and many more events.

The 13th Annual Imagine Science Film Festival kicks off on the evening of October 16 with the screening of PICTURE A SCIENTIST followed by a conversation with directors Sharon Shattuck and Ian Cheney. We close with the traditional Symbiosis movie night and the award ceremony n October 23.

Over the course of eight days, we will have over 80 films from over 25 countries. Our programs will also include exclusive conversations with filmmakers.

The programs will be online but will be limited for viewing to the United States. A few select programs will be limited to NY. We plan to have a playlist to showcase a few films to a wider audience and we're extend viewing of many of our films over the weekend of October 24-25.
Our yearly short film competition is happening once again . SYMBIOSIS will bring together scientists and filmmakers to create a science-inspired short film themed Migration over the course of one week.

Symbiosis Competition will pair up an amazing spread of filmmakers and scientists, including a Trinidadian-Canadian narrative filmmaker, a digital artist from the Netherlands, a light box experimental animator from California, a Turkish documentarian, a Filipino biologist studying stem cell migration and identity switching, a Puerto Rican biochemist studying the physiology of mental health disorders, and an Italian electrical engineer working on 5G wireless connectivity.

Join us for our annual pitch session ORIGINS where filmmakers working on science film projects will share their works-in-progress with a panel of funders, distributors, and producers specialized in scientific content.
