Born in 1985, David Rybak and Pablo Melchor were childhood friends, creating animation and films together from a young age. The Pitch Drop Experiment is their first professional collaboration, and they hope this will flourish into a lively partnership.
Pablo Melchor studied at Paris 8, University of St Denis, France and directed his first short film at 18. He then moved to the bustling city of Manchester in 2008 where he now lives and works, making films and art.
David Rybak went on to study at the Ecole Estienne and at the Beaux-Arts de Paris. His work includes drawing, collage and text installation, and often offers a critical and narcissistic view on the power of the artist. He lives and works in Paris, and often takes part in collaborative exhibitions across Europe.
