Mirko Faienza was born in July 1979. He started his career as a cameraman around 13 years ago after finishing his Biology studies. He worked as cameraman for a local network in Bologna (Italy) till 2003 when he moved to Israel. He has been based in the Middle East for almost six years, covering news events all over the Mid-East region for major world networks(CNN, Sky News UK, AP etc. and filming documentaries for European or American productions-directors. In 2008 he moved back to Italy and finally started to work on his own projects and ideas.
Since then he kept financing his own films and following the true passion for Wildlife( Mirko is a content provider at the National Geographic) and for Films, developing directing skills. His work is very well recognized and his latest Wildlife Film was nominated at the “Wild Talk Africa Film Festival” in the category: Best shorts. The Film is called “My Father’s Garden”. While Mirko is well known in the business for his filming and editing skills he is now working to improve his director skills to be a full time Filmmaker.
