DIRECTOR’S BIO
Born 1981, Dunedin, New Zealand. After studying Film Science at Otago University, Daniel Joseph Borgman moved to Copenhagen, Denmark, where he has worked as a visual effects artist and film colourist on numerous feature film projects.

His first short »The Man & the Albatross« (2007) premiered in the Leopards of Tomorrow competition at the Locarno Film Festival. His second short film »Lars and Peter« (2009) competed in Cannes’ Short Film Competition, was nominated for a Danish Film Academy Robert. In 2009 Daniel completed production on two more short films: »Behaviour«, »Kaleidoscope«. 2010: »Berik« won the Grand Prix in Semaine de la Critique’s short film section and Best European Short Film at Ghent, the latter meriting the film a nomination for European Film Awards 2010. Feature film project: »The Weight of Elephants«.
