SYNOPSIS
Amygdala is a one-minute stop motion short in the surrealist vain utilizing puppet, object, and clay animation. Dark in it’s vision with an ambient soundscape, it explores notions of the cast aside, and unattainable emotional and intellectual states.

DIRECTOR’S BIO
Currently pursuing a BFA in sculpture with a focus in Stop Motion Animation, Jen DePlour produces conceptual work embracing the visual language of animation to evoke a sense of nostalgia and empathy within the viewer. A former resident of New Orleans, she now works and lives in Atlanta, where she toils away attempting to unite her fine arts practice with her interest in Stop Motion.
